In the coming months, Master Trainers Dr. Ray Blanchard and Bettie Spruill will begin working with a selected group of professionals who are committed to being stellar trainers, facilitators, consultants and coaches.


Candidate Qualifications and Requirements

The TTT Intensive for people who are committed to a fast-track in training delivery. You are coached on audience management and facilitation, expert presentation skills, stage movement, and marketing from the stage. You will develop your own training from a template that is a tried and true model of success.  TTT Program is open to the public with these minimum requirements:

  • Have attended at least a Level I experiential training in self-transformation
  • Is coachable and willing to stretch and make presentations
  • Knows basic skills on how to use a lap top computer

The TF Program is a six-month intensive for people who are serious and intentional about going to the ultimate level of designing themselves to be transformational trainers, facilitators, and/or coaches. Afterwards, the candidate is expected to establish an internship with a training center or mentor to further hone the skills as an apprentice with senior or master trainers. Eligible candidates will meet the following minimum criteria:

  • Hold at minimum a Bachelor’s degree from a reputable college or university or significant experience as a professional
  • Be a graduate of a reputable transformational leadership program
  • Have demonstrated experience coaching and/or training in a transformation-based arena (either through volunteer staffing or paid employment)
  • Have demonstrated experience coaching, facilitating and/or training groups — small or large groups (or be a graduate of the Train the Trainer Intensive)
  • Have a motivation for and clear plan for coaching and training that is aligned with transformational principles
  • Will internalize and apply their understandings of the key distinctions of transformation they learned, and then evidence that in videotapes of themselves working with live audiences.

The TF is intensive, disciplined, and self-directed in nature, as is the process of becoming a masterful transformationalist. Therefore, participants’ commitment to rigor and integrity is vital.

Dr. Ray Blanchard

Dr. Ray Blanchard has delivered training and consulting programs to more than 100,000 people with lasting results in Japan, New Zealand, Russia, Malaysia, Puerto Rica, Argentina, Mexico, Canada, and the U.S. He has worked with leaders from Fortune 100 companies to privately owned mid-sized companies, such as TOMMY BAHAMAS, AT&T, ASB Bank Ltd in New Zealand, Fletcher-Challenge Ltd., Summit Education, Phillips Morris, Sime Darby Berhad, Griggs-Anderson Research, Universiti Pertanian Malaysia Faculty of Economics and Management, and other companies challenged by change on the global playing field.

His deep interest in consciousness and transformational technologies has shaped his approach to work and life. He is a Danforth Fellow and was Senior Board Advisor to Vistar Youth Horizons, Inc.  He is a member of the American Counseling Association. Ray’s education was focused in Business Administration, East-West Philosophy, and Counseling Psychology. He holds a BA and MAEd from Washington University in St. Louis and a Ph.D. from the University of Oregon.

He and Bettie Spruill are the principles and facilitators of TRAINING DESIGNS TTT & TF PROGRAMS.


Bettie Spruill

Bettie Spruill is an international master transformational trainer, a certified effectiveness coach, management consultant, entrepreneur, public speaker and writer with 30 years experience in transformational technology.

Among her many accomplishments, Bettie Spruill was Senior Vice President for Lifespring, Inc., one of the largest training companies in the world where she trained and developed transformational leaders such as Dr. Joel Martin, Jim Hellam, Sylvia Badasci, and many others who now facilitate workshops, trainings and seminars for thousands of people all over the world. With Lifespring her responsibilities also included training design, city management, and balancing multi-million dollar budgets. She is also a certified Master NLP practitioner and a leader in the field of ontological and ecological coaching.

A dynamic and inspiring woman, she has led experiential effectiveness and high performance seminars for more than 30,000 people in Russia, Malaysia, Puerto Rico, Argentina, Chili, Mexico, England, Hong Kong, Canada, Ghana and the United States of America.

Program Description

In intent, Trainer Designs is a developing community of serious-minded trainer candidates and seasoned trainers who are committed to evolving the work of transformation through ongoing personal and professional growth. In form, it is a program that occurs over approximately six months wherein graduates of transformational trainings who are committed to being stellar trainers, facilitators, and coaches of discovery-based, breakthrough-based, and/or leadership-based transformational work develop themselves using the expertise and experience available to them through the generosity of veteran trainers.

They have a proven track record of developing trainers and over sixty years of collective experience in transformation. Ray and Bettie, along with other veteran trainers who volunteer their time during program weekends, will provide opportunities for participants to develop within the following modules:

  • Foundational pillars of transformational work
  • Distinct trainer & coach ways of being
  • Generating and coaching context
  • Listening and speaking
  • Presencing oneself with impact
  • Teaching distinctions with impact
  • Group enrollment/relationship building
  • Self-discipline and rigor

Specific distinctions discussed include, but are not limited to: Interpretation, Communication for Effective Action, Universal Law, Language, Change vs. Create, Integrity, Choice vs. Decision, and Authenticity.

There will also be space within the Forum for study to evolve to match the participants’collective and individual interests. Each participant will write a short research paper (or a training) intended to contribute to the transformational training profession. In addition, candidates will videotape themselves working with live audiences in between the four Trainer Forum in-person sessions. They will receive significant feedback to support their ongoing development.

In sum, the Forum provides participants with the opportunity to greatly expand their ability to work with people at the essential level of being.

Trainer Designs Trainer Forum will be primarily self-generated by its participants, in particular during non-program weekends.  During these interim periods, participants will be required to apply and reflect on their own internalization of distinctions learned over the weekend as evidenced in video tapes of themselves working with live audiences.  Work with audiences can occur in one or more of the following domains:  delivering modules of discovery-based, breakthrough-based, or leadership-based trainings to mock audiences; delivering guest events; delivering self-designed workshops; providing one-on-one or small group coaching.

Trainer Designs Trainer Forum is intensive and self-directed in nature, as is the process of becoming a masterful transformationalist. Therefore, participants’ commitment to rigor and integrity is vital.
